Highlands and Islands Media Awards

Hey!

I was at the Highlands and Islands Media Awards on Friday with MFR . The Scottish Chart Show which I co-present with Davey D got nominated for the Bòrd na Gàidhlig award and we won!! Yay! This is the first bilingual show that has ever been done, with myself mainly talking Gaelic and Davey D mainly talking English although we do vary it a bit. We love doing the show and totally delighted that it has been recognised for promoting the Gaelic language.

Well done to all the other winners and nominees.

A big thank you to the Judges, MG Alba, Danny Gallagher, Craig Noble and our listeners!

September Update

Hi guys,

I have been busy teaching Youth Music Initiative and privately, playing at gigs but unfortunately a lot of them have been private bookings so will let you know soon when I'm next playing somewhere open to the public.

And also, I am now co-presenting the first bilingual chart show EVER...so exciting! It's called the "The Scottish Chart" which is the top 40 in Scotland (slightly different to the UK top 40) and the show is presented through English and the Gaelic language.

I'm very lucky to be co-presenting the show with Davey D (MFR). The show is on MFR from 6-8pm on Saturday evenings and also is on the local radio stations from the North down to the West of Scotland so check out their website to see when it will air. Check out the shows facebook page and website.

Thanks, Roya
